NEW—Yoga Classes at

The Magnolia Salon & Spa!

We are so excited to begin offering yoga classes to the people of Waleska! When we first opened The Magnolia Salon and Spa, we did so with the intent to provide our clients with better mental and physical wellness—and yoga does just that!

If you are not familiar with yoga, it is a series of stretches and poses paired with breathing techniques. It is a 5,000 year old art form that is practiced all over the world with the purpose of uniting your mind and body.

 

Aside from strengthening your body and relaxing your mind, it also has a wide variety of other benefits. Here are a few conditions that could benefit from yoga:

  • Poor blood circulation

  • High blood pressure

  • Arthritis

  • Osteoporosis

  • Limited mobility

  • Lower back pain

  • Headaches

  • Tension or stress

  • Depression

  • Sleeplessness

Yoga is widely popular due to its gentle movements. It is a great exercise for people who haven’t been active in a while or for those who have limiting health conditions. But it is also great for individuals who are already fit and looking for a new challenge. 

Meet your yoga instructor, Denise!

Denise Hagerman is a 500 hour Certified Yoga Instructor who is passionate about helping students relieve stress and improve physical and mental health through yoga. Denise completed her Dorje Yoga 200 hour Teacher Training in 2017 and began teaching shortly thereafter. Since then, she has taught over 200 classes while continuing her education and receiving her 500 hour certification in early 2019. She currently teaches at the YMCA in Canton, where she also works as a Wellness Coach.

Class Description:

This Gentle Yoga class is perfect for beginners and experienced yogis alike. We will focus on mindful breathing and slow, gentle movements. Feel the stress and tension melt away from your body and mind with each exhale.
